This resource contains 18 pages that each have a list of directions. Each list of directions is designed to create a picture. If followed correctly, the children should be able to work out what the picture is. The directions can be given verbally for students working on following auditory directions or read for those working on reading comprehension. They can be given to an entire class at one time. Results for improving students ability to follow directions have improved the most when the class has spent time discussing the concepts in the directions and why some people may produce a different result (perceptions and schema). Underlining key concept words before beginning the task is also another useful tool in decifering important language and having children indentify any concepts where they need clarification in order to complete each direction.
